At the beginning of September, the OKM RoadShow celebrated a successful premiere in Greece – this time in the format of a Dealer Summit. Almost the entire K. Vardaka Metal Detectors team participated, representing locations in Albania, Bulgaria, Athens, and Ioannina. In addition, Vincent from Minelab as well as close friends and fans of OKM, including Aris, joined the event.

The Vardaka MD team impressed with strong commitment and outstanding expertise: Every team member demonstrated excellent technical skills, carrying out scans with great precision, showing deep curiosity, and explaining both technology and scan results in a way that captivated customers. With such qualities, they embody the ideal combination of sales and support excellence for customers.

Scan with OKM Rover UC
3D Ground Scan of the road with OKM Rover UC to verify the previous GPR scan data. The strong blue and red spots is a signal resulting from the manhole cover. Additional signals (marked with rectangular frames) have been visible during the 3D Ground Scan, but became unvisible as soon as the strong signal of the manhole cover had been detected.

The event kicked off in Athens with discussions on brand strategy, customer expectations, and event planning, before moving on to Ioannina, where the team had a short visit to the test field and exchanged knowledge with the OKM team and the Minelab expert. On Sunday, the joint event attracted around 200 interested visitors.

Demonstrations began spontaneously in the streets, where pipelines and cables were located with the OKM Gepard GPR 3D and the OKM Rover UC, followed by detailed measurements and data evaluations on a nearby test field. Around 30 to 40 participants followed these demonstrations closely, highlighting the strong interest in OKM technologies and the practical applications.

Beyond the presentations, the summit provided valuable insights into customer needs. Participants asked whether a cave with a metal box inside could be detected with GPR, and how tunnels or entrances can be identified in the data. Answering recurring questions like these in future guides, whitepapers, and reels will make OKM technologies even more accessible and useful for our customers worldwide.

The first Vardaka Summit not only strengthened the collaboration with our partners but also showcased the enthusiasm and expertise within the team. With such strong commitment and feedback from the field, OKM and its partners are well-positioned to further expand their presence and customer support in the region.

Many thanks to all team members of K. Vardaka Metal Detectors for the great hospitality and engagement, and to all guests and visitors for the great interest in treasure hunting and OKM technology. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!
