Study Digital Engineering at OKM
You can now complete a dual study programme at OKM. As an accredited partner company of the Duale Hochschule Sachsen (DHSN), Saxony's university of cooperative education, we train the next generation of engineers in the Digital Engineering degree programme, right where our measuring instruments are developed and manufactured.
At OKM in Altenburg, Germany, we develop and manufacture metal detectors, 3D ground scanners and ground-penetrating radar systems that are used all over the world. To keep it that way, we need people who can bring electronics, software and measurement technology together.
What is Digital Engineering?
The dual bachelor's programme in Digital Engineering (B.Eng.) is offered at the Staatliche Studienakademie Glauchau. It combines computer science with classic engineering disciplines. The curriculum includes:
- Mathematics, physics, electronics and digital technology
- Programming, software engineering, embedded systems and artificial intelligence
- Measurement and control engineering
- Project and quality management
The programme takes six semesters and starts each winter semester. Theory phases at the academy alternate with practical phases at the partner company.
Why OKM?
Much of what students learn is built into our devices: sensor technology, signal processing, embedded software and the visualisation of measurement data. With us, students experience how an idea becomes a finished measuring instrument. They see how products are developed, tested and manufactured, and learn what really matters in the field.
